Situated in the much desirable Sandbanks peninsula, this stunning beachouse features a lovely fresh, open-plan modern shaker kitchen, bringing the seaside feel into the heart of the home.
Using the ever popular skinny shaker profiled Aldana range, we paired crisp white with a pale pantry blue island, with timeless tongue and groove panelling throughout and white wash oak cabinets for a really nice clean contemporary beachside feel.
The house itself is a relatively new build and considering the lovely long open-plan room, the existing kitchen was a small wraparound U shape design tucked into the corner with reduced depth units throughout so storage was a big issue, and the functional prep space was minimal. Together with the clients, we decided to make use of the deadspace and “unfold” the units along the wall creating an open galley style kitchen but utilising breakfast bar seating at the island. The end result is a functional and spacious kitchen with all the mod-cons, fitting perfectly into place with the rest of the living/dining room.
Particular features include the bifolding countertop breakfast pantry with internal lighting with door sensor, glazed display wall cabinet, and highly practical pull-out glass-sided tall larder. L shape seating (ideally located near the wine cooler!) provides a great social hub for entertaining.
