Aldana Skinny Shaker - Deep Forest

Morden, London

This super slick modern skinny shaker design features Deep Forest painted timber doors, contrasting beautifully with the bespoke dark Tobacco Gladstone Oak cabinets and antiqued brass hardware for a nice touch of industrial styling throughout.

Originally separate rooms, the whole space was completely opened up into a lovely long open-plan living and dining space for the whole family to enjoy together. Conscious to keep the flow of the functional space between lounge and dining areas optimised without the kitchen becoming an obstruction, we opted for  one main cooking run with large narrow island, with our favourite sociable L shape seating configuration.

We stacked Bosch Serie 8 ovens, within close proximity to the gas on glass 4 burner hob. A mixture of base and wall cupboards provides storage close to hand for the kitchen essentials, with the main cabinetry run ending with a highly practical double feature larder equipped with door mounted spice racks, internal lighting and quartz work surface.

Client Feedback

“From our very first email, to the final touching up of paint, Steve and Ella Austin were a dream to work with.
We weren’t too sure on colours/style/details and just sent over a vague brief and bunch of pictures we’d saved off social media. Between those and a questionnaire Steve had us fill out, he came back with a design that perfectly reflected our tastes, incorporated all our favourite details and fit our modest budget.

We’d approached multiple companies, but Ella Austin was the only one that took that initiative and delivered exactly what we were after as a result. Every hiccup along the way was clearly communicated and promptly resolved – something we were extremely thankful for when in the middle of an otherwise stressful home renovation, whilst also being heavily pregnant.

The whole building experience was a huge learning curve for us, and I can’t overemphasise the relief we felt knowing that that we were in such competent and capable hands when it came to our new kitchen. As for the finished product- we’re absolutely thrilled!

We’ve had compliments from family and friends around the world and we’re looking forward to many years enjoying our new kitchen with all of them. Thank you again!”
