This family home situated in the heart of the Hampshire countryside has recently added a significant open plan living extension to the rear of the property and we were tasked with essentially moving the existing kitchen into the next room and part of the lovely new open plan space, whilst giving the layout a nice update and luxurious twist.
The brief was to design and deliver a sleek modern kitchen suitable for active family life as well as socialising and entertaining. We opted for our handleless Strada range, painted in high gloss Dust Grey, contrasted with eye-catching Anthracite Fineline Metallic cabinets, with matching bespoke drawerboxes.
Tall larders surround the new Bosch freestanding fridge freezer creating a great storage zone for dry and cold foods, with feature open topbox to either store items such as cookery books or to simply showcase one-off decorative pieces.
The main run of the kitchen features ample storage for all the daily essentials, and we also included a space saving Le Mans corner pull-out to maximise storage to it’s full potential. We were able to hid the underfloor heating manifold and controls in a customised bespoke oven housing to keep with the minimal & linear theme throughtout.
The large centre island completes the design with plenty more storage through a mixture of standard cupboards and drawers (2x cutlery, 2x pan), and is finished off with a flush-mounted Bora Pure vented hob, and accent breakfast bar panel under the seating area.
One end of the island features a stunning mitred waterfall end panel, and the other featuring an illuminated mini gin bar.
We went with 30mm Caesarstone Pure White quartz worktops to add to the clean linear look, with the addition of a few clever finishing touches to help elevate the overall design scheme, including the waterfall end panel (as mentioned above), a unique 1810 Axix undermounted sink with matching quartz side panels (with chrome Quooker Flex boiling tap), matching upstands throughout and matching quartz window sill.
