We had a lot of fun designing this lovely kitchen for lovely clients! Situated in an impressive new extension, we were tasked to design a large open plan space to become the heart of the home for this young family. It had to tick a lot of boxes – keen chefs, sociable entertaining space (family friendly as well as for parties), maximum storage capacity along with clever storage solutions.
We opted for the traditionally styled Wakefield beaded shaker range with Graphite base units and Light Grey Wall & Tall units. Natural Lancaster Oak cabinets with various visible accents throughout in the form of bookcases, display cabinets (open and glazed), wine rack and chopping board unit (bespoke made to the height of the clients chopping boards).
The design features a large curved central island, with seating for 4, along with an additional curved peninsula for double sided storage and a great place to serve up family meals into the adjoining dining area.
Storage solutions include a large pull-out Le Mans corner unit, integrated pull-out bin, large bank of larder cupboards (including bespoke breakfast pantry), and we made all wall units slightly taller for maximum internal cupboard space.
